We live in unsettling times, facing a challenge we don't fully understand. Uncertainty and anxiety prevail, and we are largely powerless in the face of the threat that confronts us.The pre-lockdown past seems long ago, overtaken by an overwhelming present in which it's hard to distinguish between 'restriction' and 'lockdown.'
Communications lack clarity and instructions confuse in a tug of war between scientists and politicians, The arrival of new vaccines brings a promise of relief, some hope of protection, but that silver lining barely emerged before new dissent broke out about its use. What are we meant to believe? What are we meant to do? For today perhaps the only balm is hope. Eventually an unknown future will arrive, and we will come to understand what's meant by the 'new normal'.
